TharaETHICAL INVESTMENT DIRECTORY

Know who you can trust with your money.

Thara is a transparent, evidence-based, community-vetted directory of ethical investments. Every stock, ETF, pension fund, savings account and plan is scored against a published rubric, with the source shown for every claim, so you can find investments that fit your values and check what you already hold against the same data.

Scored across eight ethical categories, each on its own published rubric:

What you can find here

Repository

Search and filter a scored directory of stocks, ETFs, pension funds, savings and plans. Open any listing for its full profile: why to avoid it, the sources behind every claim, news to cross-check, and ethical alternatives.

Evaluate my portfolio

Upload a statement in any format, or add holdings manually, and see your portfolio scored against the same data, weighted by how much you hold, with the holdings driving your worst scores called out.

Contribute

Suggest companies to boycott, with reasons and sources. Every submission is checked by editors before it appears in the repository, so the data stays trustworthy.

Connect to API P2

Check individual symbols or whole portfolios programmatically, with an endpoint for AI agents so your own assistant can do the checking for you.

2 · Open a profileRead the reasoning, follow the sources and news links, see the alternatives.
3 · Check your holdingsScore what you already own against the same rubric.
4 · Add to itContribute companies and sources; editors vet everything before it publishes.

Scores by category

Each category is scored on its own published rubric rather than merged into one verdict, so disagreement with a single category does not force you to dismiss the whole score.

News for cross-checking

Every claim on this page links to its source so you can check it yourself.

    Evaluate my portfolio

Check what you already hold against the same data the repository uses. Scores are weighted by the amount you hold in each position, so a large holding in a poor performer moves your score more than a small one.

Upload your statement or export — any format PDF, CSV, Excel, images, or your broker, bank or pension provider's own export. Parsed with AI assistance, then confirmed by you before anything is scored.

    Contribute

Add a company you believe should be boycotted, with your reasons and sources. Community knowledge feeds the directory, but nothing publishes automatically.

Vetting gate: every submission enters an editorial vetting queue and is checked against the published evidence standard before it appears in the repository. Vetting turnaround and staffing are still to be decided.
    Submit a company for boycott
Named claims need sources. Unsubstantiated submissions are rejected at vetting.
